Chameleon for mobile phone games

ATELAB Research Group unveils the first details about Chameleon - a new device for mobile phone games. The mobile phone operates in two positions; vertical as a mobile phone and horizontal as a mobile games console.
Chameleon has a traditional numerical keypad with control buttons. Such configuration maintains all the mobile phone features. The key arrangement makes it possible to operate the mobile phone in vertical position with one hand only.
What is new is an extra pad over display used as a mobile phone games controller in a horizontal mode (console style mobile gaming). A change in mode from mobile phone to mobile gaming device is very simple and requires turning the device 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Mobile phone games menu is selected in two ways. The first one involves choosing the right option from the mobile phone menu, while the other one is realized by turning the mobile phone 90 degrees CCW and simultaneous pressing of the games pad and another button for three seconds. Going back to the mobile phone mode from mobile games mode is exactly the same.
Chameleon offers a new mobile phone games quality with a greater comfort yet maintaining all the mobile phone features. The main advantage is the mobile phone functionality and hand comfort while mobile phone games playing.

Mobile phone games providers bite into global mobile gambling pie

By Online Gambling Directory

Mobile Streams, a mobile phone games provider, announced the launch of Go Vegas Go, a fully licensed mobile gambling and gaming service, pdatoday.com reported.

Among the mobile phone games offered by the operator are Poker, Roulette, Blackjack and several types of slots which can be played on Java-enabled mobile phones. A number of web-based games are also offered. Mobile Streams will rely on Virtue Fusion as a supplier of the mobile gambling platform and mobile phone games.

Customers will be able to download the mobile phone games to their mobile phones by sending an SMS message. The Go Vegas Go mobile gambling service is for adults over the age of 18, and conforms to the age verification processes currently being implemented by the mobile carriers. Customers will enjoy excellent odds, usually in excess of 95 percent.

Mobile Streams will also be making Go Vegas Go available to many of it's partners on a white-label basis, enabling them to introduce the mobile gambling service without the need to develop a costly infrastructure and issue a gaming licence to provide mobile phone games.

Simon Buckingham, the company's chief executive said: “Recent analyst reports the large opportunity for mobile phone games, for example the Juniper Research that estimates the market of mobile phone games to be worth in excess of $ 18 billion by 2008.”

“We are in an excellent position to meet this growing demand on mobile phone games and mobile gambling because of our channels to market, mobile phone game portfolio and network infrastructure,” Buckingham said.
